We Train Warriors
The world today is creating more sheep and wolves and the sheepdog who is lone warrior left to protect the flock is slowly fading away. The concept of sheepdog fitness is simple, strong mind and body. When you start our program you are not a member, a client, or an athlete, you are a warrior. The founders of Sheepdog Fitness have diverse backgrounds in Law enforcement, Fire Service and Military Special Operations. These elite warriors came together to create a fitness program that is effective and affordable.
Our Director of Fitness Programming, Jennifer Telford, has her Masters of Science in Kinesiology from Cal Baptist University and worked for PSNI (Police Services of Northern Ireland) where she trained new recruits, worked with the close protection detail and SWAT officers. Jennifer aka Might Mouse now works at local police and fire academies overseeing the physical training portion of the academy. Jennifer does all of the fitness programming for Sheepdog Fitness and she is a true professional, not a coach or instructor who took a weekend course.
Studies have shown high intensity low duration exercise is the most effective way to lose weight, gain muscle and improve overall health and athletic performance. The Duty of the instructors will be to show the warriors they are mentally and physically stronger than they think they are and to push them past their pain threshold. The warrior spirit is to keep fighting even when the brain is telling you to stop so they can be made aware of their true potential, this is known as the will to survive. The skills and strength you gain here could save you out there.
